Chaitali Nath Interview

Tell us about yourself and what inspired you to start writing.

I’m a young girl of 16, who’s written a book named Soul Spoken. I can be the girl next door and the most non-fitted person of the millennium and everything in between

Whatever I see, hear, feel and believe is that I write. Not everything I write is something I’ve gone through myself, many of them are memoirs of real life stories of my friends.

Describe your writing process? Is there anything unique about it?
Nothing unique at all. I will write whatever I feel, wherever I am and whenever I feel like I want to

Have you published any books or do you have a desire to do so?
My book’s name is Soul Spoken.
The core of idea is that teenagers, as a whole, are misinterpreted and incorrectly put up in literature. I want to clear that.

Do you have any favorite poets or authors?
I don’t want to play favorites, especially since I know how much it takes to create a piece of writing.

Do you have a favorite book of poetry or poems?
I like to read most genres of books. I don’t have any favorites, I’ve loved whatever I’ve read, except a couple of books.

What are you reading now?
‘The Feast Of Roses’ by Indu Sunderesan

What do you like to do when you’re not writing? Full-time job, pets, hobbies?
I like listening to music, dancing, singing among others. Sometimes, I do write music and compose

Are you working on a current project?
I’m currently working on my second book. I do have many more ideas, and the speed of my writing is really slow compared to the speed of idea generation.
