Tell us about yourself and what inspired you to start writing.
I’m Chelsea Vine, I am 16 years old and I live in Kenya, I have recently published my book ‘The Girl From The East’ on lulu, my book was inspired by my daily struggles and emotions, it was a way to understand my feelings and myself and I hope it does the same to all the readers
Describe your writing process? Is there anything unique about it?
I write whenever I feel the need to, whenever I’m happy or sad or a feeling between the two, it gives me a platform to understand my feelings and the things that trigger it a way of gaining emotional intelligence
Have you published any books or do you have a desire to do so?
I have published only one book ‘The Girl From The East’ This beautiful piece of art is the whole world in a book,it is a collection of scars and wounds that open,some still healing, others mildly fading, some which I have endured, some not, but each marred page is a ravishing disaster of what makes us human. Heartbreak, loss, love,grace,humility pain in all senses,we may not be able to vanish these scars from existence but we can cherish them they are part of a story of who we are today The compilation in this book is: a reflection of my own emotions and struggles which I hope will be of encouragement to others,poetry was a home,a place,where I could survive those times of torment.The poems contain some light- hearted material and others skin deep that aims to encapsulate love, beauty, peace and sensation through a blend of texture, imagery, and colour, beyond every colour there is an emotion Curl up with this heart binding poetry book and feel , I am currently working on my second book Burning Stones

What do you like to do when you’re not writing? Full-time job, pets, hobbies?
I am either drawing or spending hours on pinterest and tiktok

I’m working on getting ‘The Girl From The East’ published on major bookstores like Barnes and Noble and Amazon
