Tell us about yourself and what inspired you to start writing.
Marius Alexandru, born and raised in Arad, Romania, came to the United States in 1997, where he currently lives with his wife.
His passion for poetry started as a child, and he has been writing poetry since his adolescence.
He is the author of a few Romanian Christian poetry books, including “Fosnetul Pasilor din Duzi”, “Scaldati in Susurul Bland al Harului”, “Doruri Sfinte”, English Poetry “Ring of Fire-Poems”, “Reflection of Thoughts”, and many other poems published in Poetry Anthologies during the years, in both Romanian and English languages.
His poems “Limba Mea, Limba Romana” and “În Limba Română” are included in many live poetry recitals when in Romania and Moldova is celebrated “Romanian Language Day”. (31st August)
Describe your writing process? Is there anything unique about it?
I like to write in all styles and forms. I love rhyming but also free verses. I wrote sonnets, ballads, limericks, haikus, palindromes, and many more.
I even invented two new poetry forms called QAP 8X10 and QAP 10X8.
“QAP 8X10” or “QAP 10X8”, new forms created by Marius Alexandru, on February 2021 consist of 5 respective 4 stanzas of 2 lines each stanza, (couplets) and a strict 80 syllables each poem in a Question-Answer format.
QAP 8X10 form consists of 8 syllables each line with a total of 10 lines, respective 5 stanzas of 2 lines each. (5 couplets)
QAP 10X8 form consists of 10 syllables each line with a total of 8 lines, respective 4 stanzas of 2 lines each. (4 couplets)
It is a rhyming form with an AA BB CC DD EE rhyming scheme.
Both forms have 80 syllables and are Question/Answer Style poems.

The name of the new form is “QAP” meaning Question Answer Poem.
In a QAP form, always the first number (either 8 or 10) represents the number of syllables/line and the second one (either 8 or 10) represents the number of lines in the poem.
Both forms (QAP 8X10 and QAP 10X8) always should have a total of 80 syllables.
(QAP 8×10 = 8 syllables/line X 10 lines)
(QAP 10×8 = 10 syllables/line X 8 lines)
