Author Bio:
Asa was born in Washington, DC, however, he was raised in Washington, DC and Maryland, with the larger part of his rearing being in Baltimore, Maryland.
As the youngest offspring of a single, working mom his search for a male role model…a father figure…in his life began at an early age in the ghettos. With his mother busy doing her own thing and his older three siblings on their own in other cities, or living with another parent, he turned to the streets for guidance. The majority of the friendships he established were not positive ones and he soon began to follow the wrong crowd. Thus, from the age of 13 to the present, Asa has been in and out of countless correctional facilities.
It is only within the last 5 years, with the birth of his daughter, that he has made a deliberate effort to try to turn his life around. He has done this by writing. He ‘speaks’ through his pen and he has written numerous pieces of ‘art’, which pictures his struggle…to start a new life.
A candid, opinionated young man…his works are filled with faith, hope, despair, anger, pain…love. And because the range of his themes are so extensive, there is no doubt that the reading of each piece will prove to be an unique and rewarding experience for all.
