Tell us about yourself and what inspired you to start writing.
I was born in Daytona Beach, FL I have moved around so much since that I had acquired the nickname “Gypsy” by the time I was 12 and it’s managed to stick to this day.
I am a single mom to one beautiful daughter that is my world, I have an amazing boyfriend and partner-in-crime, and have a wonderfully supportive family.
I was a licensed CNA for 14 years, attended school for my AA specializing in Psychology and English and am working on finishing my latest book.
I like to paint furniture, sing, read and write about all the unique and unusual ways people act and the possible whys and how’s of their behavior. People fascinate me. I love to people watch, observe and read as much as I can get my hands on and try to instill the same in my favorite person in the world. My beautiful daughter.
My passions in life are my family and friends, writing and music in that order.
Describe your writing process? Is there anything unique about it?
I write when the whim takes me. I tend to munch on crunchy things like raw nuts or popcorn when I write, helps me focus.
Have you published any books or do you have a desire to do so?
I have written 3 ebooks so far. The first is a collection of poetry, the second is a collection of erotic, dream fantasy short stories and the third is a nonfiction comedic look into why we women do some of the things we do. Currently I am working on an urban fantasy fiction novel and am very excited about it! It’s my first delve into urban fantasy fiction genre and I’m really loving it so far, hopefully you guys will too!
Do you have any favorite poets or authors?
My reading tastes are all over the map, as well as generations, so the author list would be incredibly long.
Do you have a favorite book of poetry or poems?
It would be easier to ask my favorite books per author. The list would still be pretty long though.
What are you reading now?
The Masterharper of Pern by Anne McCaffrey. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve read it.
What do you like to do when you’re not writing? Full-time job, pets, hobbies?
I have 2 dogs and 3 reptiles. I love to nature hike and swim, paint furniture and garden statues and, of course, read.
